FIGHT FRAUD TASK FORCE
 

The statewide Fight Fraud Taskforce is comprised of representatives from:
 
bullet Nevada Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection
bulletLas Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies
bulletNevada Division of Motor Vehicles
bulletInternal Revenue Service
bulletPublic Utilities Commission
bulletNevada Consumer Affairs Division
bulletBetter Business Bureau
bulletNevada Division of Mortgage Lending
bulletNevada Transportation Authority
bulletClark County Legal Services
bulletUnited States Postal Service
bulletExperts from the private sector, including a minority community specialist and a check fraud/anti-money laundering expert.

“Our mission is to educate Nevadan citizens about the scams that are occurring in the marketplace and to increase the ability of individuals to make informed decisions to protect their hard-earned dollars,” said Nevada Consumer Affairs Division Commissioner James E. Campos. “The Taskforce acts as an information clearinghouse for the latest scams and is developing materials to teach Nevadans how to protect themselves and their loved ones.”

The Taskforce is also responsible for ensuring the latest fraud information is available on the Fight Fraud website.
