Mail Order

There are various types of mail fraud, including chain letters, pen pal clubs, medicines by mail, real estate swindles, and unsolicited C.O.D. merchandise.

Travel Agency Fraud

Anyone can hang a sign in front of their door and sell travel products. If you have access to a fax machine, telephone or email account, you can send out solicitations.  Following the Federal Trade Commission’s travel tips can help.

Food & Drug Fraud
You don't have to look far to find a health product that's totally bogus--or a consumer who's totally unsuspecting. Promotions for fraudulent products show up daily in newspaper and magazine ads and TV "infomercials." They accompany products sold in stores, on the Internet, and through mail-order catalogs. They're passed along by word-of-mouth.
