On December 17, 2008 Chairman Dennis Neilander issued a letter to the industry adopting Version 3.1 of the Cage and Credit, Slots, Table Games, and Card Games Internal Control Procedures sections. The sections of the adopted ICPs, each with a draft date of December 1, 2008 , are available below.

On December 11, 2008 Board Member Clayton issued a letter to the industry adopting the “CPA MICS Compliance Checklists”. These checklists incorporate Version 6 of the Minimum Internal Control Standards and are effective January 1, 2009.

At its meeting on November 20, 2008, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the application of Elijah Green to be removed from the List of Individuals who have been Denied a Gaming License, been Found Unsuitable for Licensure or had a Gaming License or Finding of Suitability Revoked by the Nevada Gaming Commission. Draft regulations for the Public Regulation Workshop (Las Vegas May 23, 2008 9 a.m.) - The following draft regulations are based on submitted or Board-initiated new or amended regulation proposals. All the draft regulations are subject to further revision and may or may not be forwarded for consideration by the Board or adoption by the Commission. There have been some proposed regulation amendments added to this workshop that were not included in the original announcement. The regulations added include Gaming Employee Registration related regulations (5.101, 5.104, 5.105 and 5.106) and Regulation 22.080 - Payment of winning wagers. The Regulation 14 project related to table game layouts has been postponed pending further research and industry input. Please use the links below for details.

In early 2007, the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada Las Vegas conducted a study of the online gaming attitude and behaviors of Nevadans on behalf of the State Gaming Control Board. The study consisted of a random digit dialed telephone survey of 1,000 Nevada residents and some in depth, open-ended focus group interviews. Please use the link below to view the study.

The University of Nevada Las Vegas – International Gaming Institute provides regulatory seminars to individuals involved in the regulation of gaming. Classes are taught by Gaming Control Board agents on auditing procedures, licensing and background investigations, financial concepts for non-accountants, arbitration, law enforcement and criminal activities.
